When Compassion Meets the Rain
The arrival of the monsoon brings much-needed relief from the summer heat. However, for thousands of daily wage workers, street vendors, sanitation workers, homeless individuals, and underprivileged families, the rainy season also brings significant challenges. Working outdoors without proper protection exposes them to continuous rainfall, illness, and loss of income.
Recognizing this need, Hemanand Charitable Trust organized a Raincoat Distribution Drive on June 20, 2026, with the aim of helping vulnerable members of our community stay safe, dry, and healthy throughout the rainy season.
This initiative was driven by a simple belief:
"A small act of kindness can provide comfort, protection, and hope."
Why Raincoat Distribution Matters
For many of us, a raincoat is an ordinary item that we use without much thought. But for someone who spends hours walking or working in the rain every day, it becomes an essential necessity.
Without proper rain protection, people often face:
- Constant exposure to heavy rain
- Increased risk of fever, cold, and infections
- Difficulty continuing daily work
- Loss of wages due to illness
- Uncomfortable and unsafe travel
A simple raincoat helps protect not only their health but also their livelihood.
Thank You
We sincerely thank everyone who contributed to making this Raincoat Distribution Drive a success.
Every contribution—whether through time, resources, or encouragement—helped protect lives during the rainy season.
Together, we can continue making a meaningful difference.
"When we protect someone from the rain, we also protect their hope for tomorrow."
